The Office of Curriculum and Scholarship (OCS) is seeking to enhance its team in support of the Education Mission of the College of Medicine (COM). The Research Specialist is a subject matter expert in program evaluation and research and supports COM faculty in the development and execution of program evaluation and health professions educational research. The Research Specialist is expected to consult with faculty to develop and design program evaluation and educational research plans and protocols; manage, analyze, interpret, and visualize data; use analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) to create interactive dashboards for stakeholders; develop data-driven recommendations for curricular improvements; collaborate with faculty to develop scientific manuscripts; and design, implement, and evaluate faculty development programs related to program evaluation and educational research.
Minimum Education Required:
Master's Degree, PhD or equivalent experience required.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
5-6 years experience in program evaluation and educational research required; experience in health professions program evaluation and educational research preferred. Experience with data management and data analysis using statistical packages (e.g., SPSS) required. Experience writing scientific manuscripts and grant proposals desired. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical.
