LPN - Infusion at Noran Neurological Clinic PA in Bloomington, Minnesota

Job Description:

This position requires an LPN. Candidate must be detail oriented and possess verbal and written skills that facilitate effective communication with physicians, patients, team members and other individuals within and beyond the scope of this specialty.

FTE: Full time, 0.9-1.0 FTE
Location: Primary location Bloomington. Occasional rotation to Lake Elmo/Woodbury as needed for coverage. Training will occur at Blaine, Lake Elmo/Woodbury and Bloomington locations.
Hours: 9 or 10-hour shifts, 4-day work week Tuesday-Friday, no evenings/weekends

Other requirements include:
Minimum two years direct patient care in a medical/surgical clinical settingCurrent BLS certificationSkills necessary for the administration of IM and SQ injectionsObtain Multiple Sclerosis Healthcare Associate (MSHA) certification within 3 years of employmentExcellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitudeAbility to multi-task

Duties include:
Managing patient flow including rooming patients, vital signs, obtain adequate patient medical information/dataInventory and stock medications and suppliesAdminister IM and SQ injectionsClean and maintain medical equipment including infusion chairs, IV pumps/polesCommunicate patient status to medical personnel as neededElectronic Medical chart documentation in a specialized infusion software systemSchedule infusion appointmentsAbility to work in a team environment
