Special is hiring a M&A Consultant with experience sourcing, evaluating, and closing acquisitions of small businesses with annual EBITDA, initially between $500,000 and $5,000,000. This role is initially a Contract position, but could expand to full-time in 2025.
Responsibilities
Source and build a pipeline of acquisition targets within our specified EBITDA range.
Lead the due diligence process, including financial analysis, business operations, legal reviews, customer contracts, and more.
Structure and negotiate deals, working closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with Special's growth objectives.
Collaborate with equity and debt lenders to support fundraising efforts
Manage end-to-end acquisition processes from initial sourcing to closing.
We're Looking For
Experience: Proven track record in sourcing, negotiating, and closing small business acquisitions in the specified EBITDA range ($500,000 to $5,000,000).
Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of "main street" businesses (e.g., franchises, blue-collar industries).
Background: Previous experience in private equity, corporate M&A, or investment banking.
Technical Skills: Deep expertise in financial modeling, due diligence, acquisition sourcing, and experience working with debt lenders and banks for acquisition financing.
