Description for Manufacturing Quotations Coordinator:
In this role, you will be responsible for managing customer orders, providing price quotations, and ensuring efficient communication between customers, engineers, manufacturing partners, and suppliers. You will play a crucial role in estimating material and labor costs, managing multiple projects, and supporting the production process from order placement to delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong multitasking skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work with ERP systems.
Responsibilities for Manufacturing Quotations Coordinator:
Receives requests for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from domestic & international customers as well as the sales team and distributors.
Estimates material and labor costs based on analysis of customer specifications, pricing schedules for labor and materials, and historical data, and expedites job costing to customers as requested.
Prioritizes and maintains the status of multiple projects at the same time.
Conducts extensive detailed communication with customer engineers, manufacturing partners, and material suppliers.
Meets with Quality Manager when necessary to establish custom testing parameters.
Recommends purchases as needed to meet or improve the production schedule.
Analyzes post-production costs and uses data to inform future project estimates.
Works within ERP system to search and review data, as well as input of information.
Handles customer calls, including contacting customers to ascertain data omitted on orders, providing production status, coordinating special instructions and managing customer requests.
Maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible service.
Monitors competitors' services to ensure a competitive market edge in selling price and added value.
Mails brochures, samples, price quotations, and similar data to customers, as required.
Maintains liaison with other departments for order completion.
Performs any and all administrative tasks to support the production of customer orders including artwork and plates.
Additional duties as requested/assigned.
Requirements for Manufacturing Quotations Coordinator:
H.S. Degree/GED or equivalent work experience required, Bachelor's degree preferred
10+ years of manufacturing related experience and 3+ years in a Manufacturing Estimator role is required.
Flexible Packaging industry experience is preferred
Previous ERP/MRP experience required, Radius MRP system experience is preferred
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Outlook) required
Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively communicate and share knowledge with others required
Works well with other departments in communication of timelines, priorities and resolving ambiguous tasks/situations.
