Job Description:

Sunnyvale Dance Academy strives to promote a positive dance learning environment with an emphasis on fun, creativity, discipline, and rigor in our beautiful home in Sunnyvale, Texas.

We are seeking a collaborative and self-driven person to consistently deliver excellent customer service, provide exceptional administrative support, and attend to our school's needs inside and out of the classroom.

This position requires a minimum one-year commitment and specific availability (approximately).
  • Mondays 9 AM-5 PM,
  • Tuesdays 3-9 PM,
  • Wednesday 11 AM-5 PM
  • Thursdays 12-3 PM
  • Friday 9 AM-2 PM
  • Approximately 10-12 partial weekend days required per year.

Responsibilities & Duties

Communication
  • Strong phone and in-person communication skills to help ensure students find ideal class(es) in our studio
  • Outstanding written and oral communication
  • Willingness to build and maintain positive relations with current & new customers
  • Ability to compose articulate and professional customer-centered email communication
  • Command of front desk responsibilities and ability to multitask and prioritize quickly
  • Ability to manage & properly communicate with other employees

Studio Operations
  • Provide high quality customer service
  • Support ongoing projects in our studio database such as inputting class information, updating ordering information, sending out information to our customers, billing, etc.
  • Maintain a clean studio environment by performing daily/weekly organization/cleaning tasks & ensure other front desk staff are adequately performing their responsibilities
  • Conduct day to day activities within an office environment - answering phone calls, responding to emails, data entry, updating website, updating internal forms, and a variety of front desk reception tasks
  • Plan future studio events/parties coordinating with other staff members
  • Plan & prepare for the studio's annual recital
  • Support teaching staff as classes run all day and evening
  • Decorate for studio events, parties, holidays, and special themed weeks.
  • Creativity is a bonus!

Qualifications
  • Must pass Texas State background check
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Google Suites & Microsoft Word, Excel, Pinterest, & Canva
  • Quick learner who is able to quickly & effectively move through tasks and understand new projects/software including Wix
  • Positive, collaborative and customer-oriented
  • Punctual, reliable and professional in appearance and demeanor
  • Self-driven and demonstrated ability to perform duties without supervision
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Familiarity with and/or willingness to use project management software
  • Passion for dance and the creative arts - Bonus!
  • Great with kids - Bonus!
