As a Superintendent, you'll embody this approach by overseeing the day-to-day operations on jobsites, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role involves coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and other team members to achieve project objectives and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management: Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to project schedules, specifications, and safety protocols.
Team Leadership: Partner with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including owners. Adapt communication to the stakeholder's needs, providing consistent and accurate updates on project scope and timeline.
Quality Control: Ensure all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and in compliance with project plans, specifications, and local building codes.
Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes and unforeseen challenges.
Budget Management: Monitor project costs, ensure work is performed within budget constraints and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, inspections, and other relevant documentation.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on the job site promptly and effectively.
Required Skills and Experience:
5 + years of experience working as a project manager or superintendent.
Proven track record of successful projects and people supervision.
Knowledge of and ability to follow OSHA and Hutton safety protocols.
Demonstrated knowledge of building codes, design, site control, inspection procedures, and scheduling.
Ability to work out of town for multiple days per week for multiple months.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software, such as Asta or Microsoft Project.
Possess a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
Possess permanent authorization to work in the United States.
Must successfully pass a background check, UA, and pre-employment physical prior to start date.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to do the following consistently without assistance:
Lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb and squat in cramped or awkward positions when necessary.
Walk on uneven surfaces frequently.
Work in severe elements including extreme heat or cold.
