Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Product to lead the strategic direction, development and execution of the product roadmap. This is a high impact role reporting to the CEO as a key member of the leadership team. The Head of Product will own the product vision, ensure alignment with business goals and lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that delight our customers and reshape the future of work. As a member of the leadership team, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of Happyly and our ability to support deep impact for our partners, their employees and ability to achieve business outcomes by addressing the employee engagement challenges of the modern workplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Product Vision & Strategy
  2. Define, refine and articulate a compelling product vision and strategy aligned with the company's mission and goals.
  3. Prioritize market opportunities based on customer needs, competitive analysis and business objectives.
  4. Roadmap Ownership
  5. Build and manage a clear and executable product roadmap.
  6. Ensure that the roadmap decisions balance short-term deliverables and long term strategic goals.
  7. Customer-Centric Development
  8. Collaborate with customers, sales, and customer success teams to gather insights and prioritize features that drive customer satisfaction and retention.
  9. Use data-driven approaches to validate product decisions and ensure product market fit.
  10. Team Leadership
  11. Build and lead a high-performing product team, including development partnerships / in house team, design, data analytics and content.
  12. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the product organization and the broader organization partnering closely with sales, marketing, customer success, and content strategy.
  13. Execution and Delivery
  14. Partner with and lead engineering, marketing, content, and customer success to ensure timely delivery of product features.
  15. Establish and track KPIs to measure product performance and adoption.
  16. Market Leadership
  17. Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive advantage.
  18. Represent the company at industry events, with customers, and in other strategic forums.
  19. Marketing
  20. Develop product videos, decks and necessary collateral in support of sales & customer success initiatives painting a clear picture of the product capabilities today and the vision for the future
  21. Investor and Board Relations
  22. As a member of the leadership team, provide monthly board ready data and reporting on product progress, blockers and key customer feedback and impact


Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of product management experience, including 3 + years in a leadership role, preferably in a high growth start-up
  • Proven track record of scaling a product from early-stage to widespread adoption
  • Here's a well-crafted bullet for a product manager resume emphasizing UX/UI expertise and user-friendly product development:
  • Design and deliver user-centric product solutions by collaborating with UX/UI teams to create intuitive interfaces, ensuring seamless customer experiences and achieving a 25% increase in user satisfaction
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models and go to market strategies with desire for experience / exposure to HR Tech and a people leadership buyer
  • Exceptional leadership and team building skills with a strong followership and track record of mentorship and helping team members meet and exceed their potential
  • Servant leadership mindset with low ego, high EQ and ability to motivate and inspire a team with authenticity
  • Experience creating an environment of accountability where the team is clear on goals, how to achieve success and the ability to celebrate successes along the way while driving with tenacity to outcomes
  • Data driven decision maker with strong analytical skills and experience using customer feedback and market research
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills to articulate product vision and strategy to internal and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern product management tools

  • Revenue Growth: In partnership with CEO, sales and customer success, drive revenue growth by enabling the company to capture and expand its market share through innovative product offerings.
  • Customer Delight: Track & Increase Net Promoter Score (NPS) and customer retention by delivering features and improvements that resonate deeply with our users.
  • Efficient Execution: Deliver high quality product launches on time and within scope, ensuring seamless cross-functional collaboration
  • Team Excellence: Build a world class product team (in lockstep with the broader organizational goals and team) known for its ability to listen, learn, innovate and execute
  • Travel: Ability to travel as needed to meet customers, to attend key industry conferences and to attend in person quarterly team retreats / planning offsites.
