POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer and a key member of the HR leadership team, The Director of Talent Acquisition is accountable for developing and executing against a comprehensive, yet flexible recruiting strategy needed for hiring top talent into salaried, professional roles across our North America based business operations (US, Mexico, Canada) and on occasion Europe. The Talent Acquisition team is a corporate function that supports a decentralized business operating structure comprised of over 20 individually branded business units.

Recruiting support is at the request of the business, thus success in this role will be measured based on the ongoing utilization of our high performing team that ultimately results in the attraction and selection of top talent for the company. A customer centric leader, you will establish efficient and effective recruiting practices while fostering a culture of excellence in hiring across the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish the TA team as the "go-to" value added resource for hiring.
  • Develop trusted relationships with all key stakeholders (executives, hiring managers, HR) across the businesses.
  • Demonstrate curiosity for our business, products and people.
  • Travel to locations to build a deep understanding of what we do and how we do it.
  • Accountable for the end-to-end talent acquisition processes, including candidate sourcing, assessment, selection, and onboarding.
  • Continuously refines and optimizes these processes for efficiency and effectiveness while ensuring a flexible, service-centered mindset.
  • Manages team workload and directly recruits for key roles.
  • Assign new requisitions to team members in alignment with expertise, capacity and performance; ensure workload balance across the team which includes deferring or referring other resources if team is unable to immediately begin new requisitions.
  • Personally lead full life cycle search assignments for high visibility, senior level positions and/or to extend the capacity of the team and deliver services.
  • Must be willing/able to do what it takes to serve our businesses.
  • Recruits, hires, and mentors a team of Talent Acquisition professionals, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
  • Act as escalation point to remove barriers, address issues that may be impeding progress towards successful hiring and meeting of recruiter KPIs.
  • Fosters a collaborative and results-driven culture within the department.
  • Establish and support the achievement of KPIs.
  • Responsible for TA related processes.

  • Implements strategies to enhance the candidate experience, from initial contact through to onboarding, ensuring that candidates have a positive and engaging experience with the organization.
  • Ensures that all talent acquisition activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, including diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Responsible for TA related tools, vendors and programs.
  • ATS strategy, maintenance and support - partnering with our vendor, internal HR Systems and third-party consultants to ensure optimal set up, enhance and build new capability that improve data quality, candidate and user experience.
  • Responsible for vendor relationships for background checks and relocation services; train and support HR business partners as it relates to these programs/services.
  • Drive effective use of assessments in hiring decisions; assume the role of SME of our various tools as it relates to what is measured, how to interpret and apply insights to make better informed decisions; participate in the refinement and development of future assessment tools.
  • Manage our accounts and use of key sourcing platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, ZoomInfo) to ensure we are maximizing our investment and expanding candidate pipelines.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
  • A Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational leadership, business, or related field strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in talent acquisition in a manufacturing-based industry.
  • 3+ years' experience managing 2 or more direct reports.
  • Strong understanding of best practices in talent acquisition, including sourcing, assessment, and selection.
  • Working knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations.
