Performs routine analytical testing assignments using judgment and initiative, may determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
Performs standard laboratory operations such as carrying and dispensing of reagents.
Accurately reads measurement markings on laboratory glassware and written instructions of at least an eight-front size with corrective lenses as necessary. Performs standard analytical activities with direction from more senior laboratory chemist.
Is responsible for cleaning glassware, preparing solutions and assisting/preparing samples.
Is responsible for adhering to laboratory SOPS, GMP regulations, and laboratory safety rules in performing all laboratory functions.
Is able to use software associated with analytical instruments.
Maintains good housekeeping of all work and storage areas.
Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities for the positions.
Other tasks as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: AA preferred or high school + equivalent experience
Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years related industry experience
Knowledge/Skills: exposure to computer software associated with word processing and spreadsheets desirable

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 10-30 pounds. Be accessible to laboratory and pilot area(s) and office staff and to use required office equipment. Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently.
