Our firm is excited to announce that we are looking to hire an experienced (+7 years of public accounting experience is preferred) CPA for our tax practice. Our firm has been locally owned, with no PE, for over 100 years, and includes a clear succession plan between current and future partners. Responsibilities
Within our supportive environment, candidates will develop over time to become the lead professional in the candidate's practice area. Our firm pays for all continuing education courses and necessary trainings to develop members of our firm. Also, candidates will continue to develop their expertise supported by our current team members combined experience of +200 years. Our average tenure at our firm of our current team is approximately 21 years with the firm, as the firm cares for and investments in its professionals.
Our firm is growing and with our growth, the position will also provide candidates the opportunity to train and develop younger staff that they will have the opportunity to cultivate the skills and professionalism that they want the firm to have in the future.
The firm has an incredible base of clients to work with, so there is no expectation for candidates to bring in new business, but we do pay a 15% commission for the life of the client for any new clients brought in by any member of the firm. The firm does pay overtime and values a work/life balance. Expectations for total annual hours, including paid holidays, vacations, and sick time, is approximately 2,300 hours with approximately 1,700 billable hours.
Qualifications
-CPA
-+7 years experience in public accounting
-If not currently working in a CPA firm, candidates need to have worked in a CPA firm at some point during the past 3 years (2022 - 2024)
-Candidate must have a strong understanding of trusts and some experience/exposure to Estates. Our firm does not draft legal documents and does work directly with Estate attorneys for support related to these limited filing opportunities/requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills would be a positive differentiator.
