Job Description:

Job Title: Project Manager (Mid-Level) - Contractor

Job Location: Hybrid (M/F Remote, Tues-Thurs In-Office)

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Core Hours: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM CST (Flexible)

Site Visits: Required once a month for open projects

Contract Duration: 1 year with possibility of extending

Top 3 Required Skills:
  1. Project Management Experience - Proven track record of managing projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, and closure.
  2. Utility/Civil Planning Experience - Understanding of utility and civil planning processes as they relate to project management.
  3. Contract Reviewing - Experience in reviewing contracts, ensuring alignment with project goals, and managing contractual obligations.


Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in project management or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in engineering (any field) or technical discipline.
  • PMP certification is not required but is preferred.
  • Experience in managing reconstruction projects or public facility relocation projects is a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management tools is desirable, though specific software knowledge is not required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Mid-Level Project Manager to lead and manage various projects from initiation through completion located in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for developing project plans, managing resources, overseeing project execution, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility in work hours, with a strong emphasis on project leadership and planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop project plans, including defining scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Lead project teams and coordinate activities to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and address issues or risks.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and senior management, providing regular updates on project status.
  • Manage project budgets to ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, meeting quality standards and objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with project stakeholders and external partners.
  • Lead project meetings and facilitate discussions to keep projects moving forward.
  • Manage project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.
  • Support the development and implementation of project management best practices and processes.

Additional Information:
  • Site visits will be required once a month for any open jobs you are managing.
  • The position offers flexibility with hybrid working arrangements (remote on Mondays and Fridays, in-office Tues-Thurs).
  • Mileage can be reimbursed outside the regular commute for site visits (e.g., if your regular commute is 30 miles and a site visit requires 45 miles, you will be reimbursed for the additional 15 miles).
