Job Description:

Responsibilities
  • As a trusted partner to our military customers, we design, develop and operate systems that bring together service members from across the globe to help you train like you fight, because we understand that preparation requires full coordination-not readiness in piece parts
  • The primary job focus will be providing direct support to large demonstration events in the area of Distinguished Visitors (DV) Programs
  • These events occur 1-2 times per year at various locations in the U.S. and abroad
  • The events require travel, typically 2-3 weeks in length
  • Additionally, there are typically three 1-week working groups per year, two in Suffolk, VA and one remotely
  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients
  • Support the Distinguished Visitors (DV) programs, to include announcements, managing RSVPs, managing visit requests and access to the event, coordination of lunch and dinner, protocol matters related to DVs, transportation, program booklet and presentation development, coordination with public affairs personnel, social media content development and development of the overall DV program flow
  • Develop and manage a recognition citation program for standout event performers following each event
  • Responsible for basic program management to include preparing and presenting budgets, updating statuses, creating and managing POA&Ms, addressing procurement demands, and managing program labor and travel

Qualifications
  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Ability to travel for work related events
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills are a must
  • Experience with coordinating events / conferences / training seminars is a must
