Job Overview:

Client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Data Manager to lead and oversee our data management and governance efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for the quality, reliability, transparency, accessibility and availability of data across the organization. You will work closely with the Director of Data Management & Strategy as well as other cross-functional teams to execute data policies, establish data standards, and ensure data integrity to support key business decisions. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented leader with a passion for data management, governance, and analytics.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Management, Information Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or a related role, with a proven track record of managing data teams; Data Management (eg CDMP) preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data management tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, data catalog solutions, data quality and data lineage tools).
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data architecture.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik, Cognos) and data visualization best practices.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing data-related challenges.
  • Leadership abilities to mentor and inspire team members and foster a data-driven culture.
