We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the estimating process from start to finish, including the preparation of detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for construction projects. As a key member of our team, the Senior Estimator will work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and other project documents to determine the scope of work and estimate costs
Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for construction projects
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that estimates are accurate and complete
Monitor and analyze project costs, identifying and addressing potential cost overruns
Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear as required
Communicate regularly with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget
Develop and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of project schedules and deadlines
Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in construction estimating, with experience in a construction setting preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus
Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, HCSS, or Bid2Win
