Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

The Business Process Consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:

Deliverables and Documentation:
  • Create comprehensive deliverables, including but not limited to:
  • Current (AS IS) and future (TO BE) business process and customer journey maps.
  • Process Improvement Logs and Gap Analyses (process- and solution-focused).
  • IT Solution Requirements, Business Process Models, and Data Flow Diagrams.
  • Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), Data Dictionaries, and Test Cases.
  • Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) and Remediation Implementation Plans.
  • Cost Benefit Analyses, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Business Cases.

Meeting Facilitation:
  • Schedule, organize, and facilitate meetings with clear agendas and objectives.
  • Provide well-documented meeting notes, highlighting key action items and next steps within three business days.
  • Communicate with stakeholders in a clear, concise, and professional manner.

Stakeholder Communication and Conflict Management:
  • Address and resolve project team conflicts and communication challenges proactively.
  • Regularly update project teams and stakeholders with relevant information.

Compliance and Review:
  • Ensure all deliverables and documentation adhere to OATS policies and procedures.
  • Review all required documentation for accuracy and completeness before submission.
  • Obtain stakeholder approval for deliverables and ensure timely submission.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with the following experience and skills will be given preference:
  • DevOps and Dynamics 365 expertise.
  • Familiarity with Joint Application Development (JAD) techniques.
  • Proven experience conducting Cost Benefit Analyses and business process re-engineering.
  • Strong skills in technical writing, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to translate meeting insights and materials into detailed process and data models.

Required Skills and Experience:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of IT business/industry work experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in business analysis for IT projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for creating process model diagrams.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Expertise in translating business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience developing test cases based on user stories and criteria.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
