TalentoHC is partnered with a company looking to bring on a Temp Payroll & Benefits Specialist. This position assists in the preparation and processing of the Company's payroll and assists with other HR duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, process, and maintain payroll, salaries, and compensation data with accuracy and confidentiality.
Audit Time & Attendance records, identify discrepancies, and ensure timely reconciliations.
Maintain accurate records of sick time and PTO balances.
Serve as the point of contact for employee payroll and benefits inquiries, providing prompt and clear resolutions.
Support the Payroll Manager by updating employee benefits information and verifying third-party billing accuracy.
Review and verify payroll transactions, benefits, and accruals to ensure proper accounting and compliance.
Collaborate with HR and the Payroll Manager on onboarding new hires, processing terminations, and managing salary adjustments in the payroll system.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues efficiently.
Generate and analyze payroll reports to support HR compliance initiatives.
Maintain organized employee files and records in accordance with company policies.
Assist with new hire onboarding processes and orientation sessions.
Provide administrative support for HR functions, including event planning and team celebrations.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in payroll and general HR functions.
Completion of college-level courses in a related field.
Proficiency in a Payroll/HRIS system (experience with Paycom is required).
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Strong time management and organizational abilities.
Proven team player with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for problem-solving.
Strong analytical and research capabilities.
Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
