We are looking for a Project Director to join our client team in Houston, Texas, USA, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

About The Job

Experts in managing and integrating the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of large-scale, complex capital projects. As leaders in the energy transition, our client partners with clients from the early stages of project development. As Project Director, you will oversee all phases of planning and executing multi-discipline engineering activities for major ethylene, LNG, renewable energy, and energy transition projects. You will represent the business in discussions with clients, technology suppliers, and development partners, showcasing expertise from project inception to completion. A strong track record of delivering large capital projects on time and on budget is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop proposals to ensure successful execution of technical, contractual, and schedule requirements.
  • Lead the delivery of large ($1B+) EPC projects, primarily in the North American market.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and manage contract-related and performance-related issues, including managing project scope changes.
  • Lead and prioritize project activities, managing the team post-award, and monitoring personnel performance.
  • Oversee collaboration agreements and partnerships with clients, partners, vendors, subcontractors, and construction contractors.
  • Implement effective risk management processes and leverage lessons learned.
  • Conduct regular reviews of project schedules and financial performance, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide timely updates on project status to senior management, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards.
  • Mentor junior project management team members, providing guidance as needed.
  • Identify and develop profitable project opportunities within the assigned region.

About You

We want to hear from you if you meet the following essential requirements:
  • Minimum of twenty (20) years of industry experience, ideally in ethylene, LNG, renewable energy, or energy transition projects.
  • Engineering degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage large, diverse teams.
  • Experience with multi-center execution or workshare projects.
  • Strong knowledge of both prime contract and subcontract management.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of direct field experience.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate as needed for project requirements.
