The Preconstruction Manager reports and is responsible to the Director of Preconstruction and provides support to the Preconstruction Department in all its daily functions. These duties and responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to the following:
To manage and support the document control team in the set up and management of all documents and information related to projects and tasks assigned. Including design team and subcontractor coordination and liaison.
Utilize company software products including ISQFT, OnScreen Takeoff (OST), Assemble and Microsoft Office.
To provide estimates and cost plans at all stages of design based on Project Documents and narratives.
Preparation and management of Bid Packages during the bidding period with the distribution of the bid documents as required.
Quantity take-off and scope descriptions of subcontractor trade work.
Provide scope sheets to issue to subcontractors during the estimating and bidding of projects.
Coordination and communication with subcontractors on bids and negotiated projects.
Produce subcontractor and vendor bid tabulations to support purchasing and procurement.
To assist the Director of Preconstruction in the preparation of Proposal Requests, responses to RFP and RFIs.
To assist the Director of Preconstruction in the preparation of regular reports for the Owner and reports for the senior management
To maintain excellent relations and communications with all those involved in the project.
Required Qualifications:
This position requires 4-6 years' experience within the construction industry and a construction management qualification is beneficial.
Proficient using Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, ISQFT, On Screen Takeoff (OST), Procore and Assemble 3D take off software is beneficial.
Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Strong customer service orientation; high energy level.
