Watts & Browning has an immediate need for an experienced, detail-oriented Office Manager to be responsible for the overall management of the administrative functions of the company. You will be responsible for managing payroll, human resources, office administration, relatively simple bookkeeping, and various ad hoc administrative duties. Ensuring we are registered to do business in GA and Cobb County and maintaining vehicle registrations is required as well. This is a full-time, on-site position and reports to the Vice President and President.
Responsibilities • Manage office administration, HR, payroll, and bookkeeping • Employee, vendor, and client relationships • Work with CPA, providing information as needed • Vehicle tag renewals • Workers compensation administration • State and county business license renewals • Various ad hoc administrative duties
Experience • Understanding of core accounting • Proven experience as an Office Manager, Administrative Manager, or similar • Bookkeeping (AP, AR, billing, bank reconciliations, providing the CPA with reports) • Payroll processing • HR management (benefits, employee relations, onboarding, etc.); working knowledge of employment law. • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities • Team player with the ability to work independently • Proactive and self-starter approach to things • High level of integrity and professionalism • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
Education/Training
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, management, or a related field and two years of related experience or five years of related experience, in place of a degree.
License/Certificate (preferred)
• HRCI or SHRM certification • Notary (willing to obtain, if don't have)
Other requirements • Must be able to lift 20 lbs • Sit for extended periods of time • Able to read, write, and speak the English language fluently • Must be able to pass a drug test
