Mark IV Capital is a privately held, growth-oriented real estate development and investment company headquartered in Newport Beach, CA. focused on acquiring, developing, owning, and operating commercial real estate investments. The firm is seeking a Vice President, Capital Markets to join its team.

The Vice President, Capital Markets will play a critical role in driving the company's growth strategy by leading our capital markets activities. This unique position requires a highly strategic and analytical leader with deep expertise in real estate finance and capital structuring, a strong financial acumen, and a proven track record in raising capital. This position reports to the CFO.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Capital Markets:
  • Alongside the CFO, lead the company's capital markets strategy, focusing on equity structuring for new and existing projects.
  • Develop and execute debt financing strategies to broaden banking relationships and secure debt for new and existing projects.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with institutional investors, banks, and private equity firms.
  • Oversee financial modeling and valuation analysis for potential investments, ensuring that projects meet return targets and align with both company and investor objectives.
  • Stay informed on market trends, economic conditions, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for financing and investment.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including real estate brokers, placement agents, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies to facilitate capital market transactions.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and refine the company's overall capital strategy and long-term financial planning.

Investor Relations:
  • Oversee all investor relations activities, ensuring effective communication and transparency with existing and potential investors.
  • Prepare and present regular updates on project performance and capital markets activities to investors.
  • Build and maintain CRM database in Juniper Square to effectively manage relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Work cohesively with investor services team on oversight of Juniper Square.

Education / Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, business or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in capital markets, real estate finance, or investment banking, with a focus on commercial real estate.
  • Proven track record of successfully raising capital for large-scale development projects.
  • Deep understanding of real estate finance principles.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
