Position Overview for the Financial Planning Director:
The Financial Planning Director will lead a team in developing and presenting key financial models related to subscriber value and profitability. You will manage financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting for the Retail Wireless segment, while collaborating closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. The role also involves leading M&A financial modeling and supporting strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and presentation of quarterly financial models on subscriber profitability for existing and future Retail Wireless companies.
Perform modeling and analysis for M&A activity and other ad-hoc financial projects.
Collaborate with various teams to provide financial recommendations and identify growth opportunities within Retail Wireless.
Manage the creation and reporting of key financial metrics, including budgets and performance analysis.
Mentor a team of finance managers and analysts to enhance financial modeling skills and strategy development.
Communicate financial findings and recommendations to senior leadership and executives.
Required Skills & Experience for the Financial Planning Director:
3+ years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally in a telecom or consumer subscription industry.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables) and experience with financial modeling.
Experience with M&A financial analysis and managing high-level financial projects.
Well-developed presentation skills with the ability to summarize complex financial concepts.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to mentor others in financial analysis.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with executives and cross-functional teams.
