We are looking for a dynamic General Manager to lead our Lateral Flow Assay (LFA) Diagnostic division with full P&L accountability. This role requires a seasoned leader with experience in sales, R&D, and product management, responsible for driving profitability, innovation, and market expansion. The GM will lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives, strengthen client relationships, and guide strategic product direction within the diagnostic market.
Role & Responsibilities:
Drive Business Success: Take full ownership of the LFA unit, oversee everything from budget and resource management to growth strategies, ensuring consistent profitability
Shape the Market Strategy: Craft and implement a clear, growth-oriented market strategy that positions our LFA products effectively in a competitive, commodity-driven landscape
Lead R&D with Purpose: Guide the R&D team to develop products aligned with market demands, balancing the launch of new innovations with high-quality, cost-competitive "me-too" options
Innovate Sales Strategies: Create and lead a high-efficiency sales strategy that's tailored to high-volume, commodity-focused sales, targeting new markets and expanding our reach
Foster Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate seamlessly with finance, marketing, and HR to drive initiatives forward, while allowing the LFA unit to operate with autonomy and agility
Build Strong Client Relationships: Engage deeply with key clients, keeping a pulse on shifting market needs and maintaining our competitive edge with client-centric solutions
Enhance Operational Efficiency: Streamline processes, optimize team performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, adapting swiftly to changes in the market
Knowledge & Requirements:
Experience: 10+ years in a senior leadership role with P&L responsibility in the LFA diagnostic or medical devices industry
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or related fields; advanced degrees or certifications in diagnostics or medical technology are preferred
Leadership & Team Development: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing cross-functional teams in Sales, R&D, and Product Management
Strategic & Financial Acumen: Strong analytical skills for financial oversight, market analysis, and strategic planning
Communication & Client Engagement: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Demonstrated success in achieving aggressive growth and profitability targets
In-depth understanding of regulatory standards in the diagnostics sector, with experience navigating compliance in multiple markets
