About the Position:


The Operations Director is responsible for managing all aspects of a production facility ensuring effective and efficient use of facilities and staff.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Oversees the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.

  • Plan and organize workflow to production lines while striving to obtain high yields, high efficiency, 100% on time delivery, and total quality management.

  • Reviews production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.

  • Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff.

  • Assists leadership team with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.

  • Identifies and shares training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.

  • Organizes departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.

  • Works with finance leader to develop operating budget.

  • Delivers progress and production reports to executive team members as requested.

  • Supervises equipment purchase, maintenance, and layout.

  • Assist and give status of orders to Sales Department.

  • Provide Sales department and General Manager feedback on inability to meet delivery dates, low/no inventory of a certain type of glass, down equipment and other problems.

  • Maintain and purchase proper inventory levels of glass, insulating supplies, and packing supplies.

  • Work on ways to improve quality, yields, and efficiency within plant.

  • Complete annual employee evaluations. As necessary, complete verbal and written disciplinary warnings/counseling as required in the Company's policy and procedures.

  • Partner with Human Resources to meet hiring needs and conduct performance reviews.

  • Creates an environment and culture that focuses on fulfilling the company’s mission, vision, and values.

  • Operate as an inclusive leader; engage all associates in a manner that supports company strategy and retention.

  • Establish credibility throughout the organization as an effective collaborative developer of solutions to business challenges.


Qualification Requirements:



  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in business analytics, customer insight or Product support preferably in Building Material segment.

  • Demonstrated skills with structured & data driven approach, project management

  • Strong teamwork and influencing cross functionally skills.

  • High ethics and moral standard, walk the talk and result driven personality

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational and managerial skills.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficient in data analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems, manufacturing software, and other production-related technologies.

  • Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in the manufacturing division.

  • Ability to set long-term goals and communicate them to others.

  • Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical, business, engineering, or other related field (Desired); Masters degree preferred.

Salary: $169,100 - 253,800
