Overview

Perform routine duties to move and store material and parts.



Responsibilities

Move materials and supplies to various departments as designated.
Assist shipping room personnel in simple shipping and receiving functions, such as transporting materials, loading and unloading trucks.
Assists in keeping entire plant in neat and orderly fashion as well as shipping and receiving area.
Operates motorized and hand equipment as needed for nonproduction job, such as moving machines, scrap, trash, etc.
Performs daily inspection of lift truck.
SAP transactions for material movement.
Understanding of material flow though the shop.
Support the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost methods of the facility
Other duties may be assigned



Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One-year certificate from college or technical school; 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MRP (SAP preferred) knowledge and material transaction usage.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
