Position Description:
Join Farm Credit Bank of Texas as the Product Director, Loan Accounting Systems, where you'll lead the evolution of our digital loan servicing landscape. As the Loan IQ Product Owner and evangelist, you will drive innovation and operational excellence by leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance our digital offerings, ensuring exceptional customer experiences. Ideal candidates bring 10 years of experience with Loan IQ, possess expertise as a Loan IQ Subject Matter Expert (SME), and have a strong background in Operations Leadership and Product Management. This role is hybrid and based out of Austin, TX. You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
Day-to Day-Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish, implement, and enhance sound, progressive and effective loan accounting systems and related software applications which support the lending operation of the bank, and fairly and accurately reflect borrower legal obligations and the bank's investment in loan related assets, with general accepted accounting principles (GAAP), FCA regulations, and district policies and procedures.
Possess and maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Loan IQ, its file structures and field uses, general business processes within the loan systems, and a solid knowledge of the best practices. Possess Loan IQ product configuration knowledge including table maintenance and batch Jobs, and the ability to drive business discussion and derive requirements for Loan IQ configuration.
Provide Product / Business leadership for efforts to integrate Loan IQ with Data and Reporting platform.
Possess a strong understanding of commercial lending business processes. Ensure we have best-in-class risk and control capabilities.
Develop relationships with Associations' Loan Operations User groups. Work closely with each bank representative to identify the best approach of ensuring success as it relates to change. Conduct and attend workshops with stakeholders.
Train, prepare, and provide/manage ongoing support for Associations' Loan Operations users. Ensure that user documentation, communication to the associations and training are coordinated and completed along with implementation of new systems and/or system changes.
Partner with Associations' Loan Operations representatives, FCBT Relationship Managers, Project Teams, Product Owners, IT Operations, and the Training Department to facilitate change in a manner that increases user adoption.
Develop an effective strategy for introducing change across the District Loan Operations
Work with loan system users, department staff and other bank staff to define functional processes and requirements for new and existing business systems.
Direct and lead special projects which establish direction for the bank concerning the development of its loan and accounting operations.
Provide Loan IQ production and operational support ce to department and bank staff.
Ability to communicate proficiently and effectively, both verbally, and documentary. Able to present and speak publicly to systems users and stakeholders.
Ability to lead and motivate others. Ability to manage large, multiple, complex projects under minimal supervision, and under tight deadlines. Ability to take the lead on management reporting; issues/risk management; and communications. Ability to identify and communicate project requirements. Ability to prepare accurate budgets and reliable schedules for projects including the prevention of project scope creep. Ability to communicate complex information to a non-technical audience.
Travel to Associations will be required. A valid driver's license is required.

This is a critical role that covers many diverse skills. This position requires:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Information Systems, or equivalent experience and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in business systems support, design, change management, training, and adoption. Experience and knowledge with Capital Markets, Wholesale Lending, Mortgage Banking or Loan Servicing is required. Experience with Loan Servicing Platform implementations is also required, with Loan IQ experience being preferred. CPA or CFA qualifications are a benefit.
Possesses expert knowledge of business processes and requirements including major areas of loan accounting. Ability to communicate/coordinate effectively with all levels of management as well as with outside vendors; Ability to exercise sound judgment, use discretion and maintain confidentiality. A high level of creativity and latitude is expected. Ability to work with minimal supervision and to travel on a moderate basis. Skill in oral and written communication. Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office applications. Possesses analytical thinking and mathematical skills. Ability to work as part of a team. May coach or instruct lower-level colleagues. Handles the most complex issues and problems. Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. May act as \"lead\" supervisor.
