Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring the smooth flow of production on 1st shift Specimen Processing.
• Assist in aliquoting specimen samples as needed.
• Supervise up to 10 employees.
• Reviewing/maintaining close and effective cross-area and cross-shift communications with the Quality Manager, Supervisors and Managers of laboratory operations.
• Personnel management (hiring, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions when needed).
• Managing laboratory supplies and reagents within Specimen Processing.

• High School diploma
• Three or more years of work experience
• One or more years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Work Requirements

Demonstrated skills in: Leadership, effective communication, time management, decision-making and problem solving. Successful candidate must be able to work independently and must be detailed-oriented, dependable and show initiative.

• Lab positions involve handling of biohazardous materials and dangerous chemicals.

Work Schedule: Hours may vary slightly, but general schedule will be Monday – Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
