Collections Clerk at Warehouse Direct Inc in Des Plaines, Illinois

Job Description:

We are seeking a Collections Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for Responsible for collecting the maximum amount of overdue funds from customers, which may include a variety of customer location techniques, collection methods, legal claims, and the selective use of outside collection services by performing the following duties.

Job Responsibilities:

• Continually monitors accounts receivable summary for delinquency through related reports on a regular basis.
• Regularly initiates appropriate collection activity via past due notices, telephone, correspondence and collection agency efforts.
• Effectively negotiates payment terms with customers in accordance with established guidelines to minimize collection agency potential.
• Timely notifies customers of non-sufficient fund checks, arranges for an alternative method of payment and assesses charges to account.
• Receives and responds to collection related inquiries in a prompt manner.
• Creates and maintains proper response letters on computer for various incoming correspondence while effectively using and operating company systems and tools.
• Cooperatively performs other related duties as assigned.
