RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a hypergrowth Artificial Intelligence startup headquartered in the heart of midtown Manhattan (New York, NY), is seeking its first Assistant Controller as it builds out its pre-IPO accounting team. The Assistant Controller will be mentored by the Controller and VP Finance. The accounting and finance team are in the offices once a month; This role will be very high remote.

Duties will include:

• Month end close


• Journal entries


• Account analysis


• Account reconciliation


• Schedules


• Financial statement prep


• Process improvement


• Support audit

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Advanced degree a plus


• CPA


• Public accounting experience


• Big 4 experience a plus


• SaaS or Artificial Intelligence industry experience a plus


• Startup and scaling experience a plus


• NetSuite experience a plus


• ERP conversion experience a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
