Job Summary

Collaborates with business stakeholders on the creation and maintenance of data assets and associated metadata, identifies and resolves data governance issues, aligns data ownership and accountability, and measures/monitors adherence to data governance standards. Engages with IT and business unit staff to investigate, understand and document data/metadata needs, insights, issues and opportunities. Develop recommendations and drive improvements to data standards, processes, definitions or tools.

  • KNOWLEDGE: Uses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Ability to multitask and respond quickly to changing priorities, business needs and technology. Working knowledge of business requirements definition, data definitions, data derivations rules, and data quality principles.

  • JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Has internal and some external contacts. Performs metadata and data quality audits, monitors adherence to data governance policy and standards as directed.

  • SUPERVISION: Receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • Experience Required: 1 year of professional (or 2 years of academic) experience working with data (i.e. data analysis)

  • Experience Preferred: SCRUM/Agile methodology; Collibra (or other relevant data governance technology); Jira, Azure, Databricks, SQL, Power BI, Change Management

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.

  • Professional certification required: N/A

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$78,500.00 - $115,250.00
