Job Summary:




The ideal candidate will have experience serving as a member/reporting to the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations and ensuring the organization's fiscal health. This role includes managing accounting functions, financial planning, budgeting, compliance, and reporting. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can streamline financial processes, drive profitability, and align financial strategies with organizational goals.




Key Responsibilities:



  • Financial Planning and Analysis:



    • Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve organizational goals.


    • Prepare, monitor, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial models.


    • Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on financial performance and market trends.



  • Accounting Operations Oversight:



    • Manage and supervise the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial data.


    • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.


    • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other financial standards.



  • Leadership and Team Management:



    • Lead and develop the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.


    • Conduct performance evaluations, provide mentorship, and support professional development.


    • Drive the recruitment and retention of top talent in the department.



  • Financial Reporting and Compliance:



    • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to stakeholders.


    • Ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements, including audits and tax filings.


    • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.



  • Risk Management:



    • Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.


    • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.


    • Maintain appropriate internal controls and ensure adherence to financial policies.



  • Strategic Contributions:



    • Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial strategies with organizational objectives.


    • Support business development initiatives through financial forecasting and scenario analysis.


    • Drive process improvements and cost-saving initiatives to enhance profitability.




    Qualifications:
