Job Summary

Under the direction of Federal Affairs leadership, the Government Affairs Associate will provide supportive research regarding public policy topics that inform the collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on analysis of federal legislative and regulatory issues. These issues may impact departments across the Enterprise.

Key Responsibilities/Duties - what you will be doing


  • Use publicly available data to research public policy topics

  • Gather and synthesize internal data relating to public policy topics

  • Prepare communication materials for coalitions and other external stakeholders

  • Develop targeted briefing materials for various leadership stakeholders

  • Develop communication materials for internal stakeholders related to public policy topics

  • Develop targeted briefing materials for various leadership stakeholders

  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications - what you need to perform the job

Education, Certification and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or combination of education and experience required.

Experience (minimum years required):


  • 1-3 years' experience in roles requiring writing and communication skills

  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid or other health care experience preferred

  • Experience in a legislative or regulatory environment preferred


Skill Requirements


  • Must be resourceful, detail-oriented, and able to assimilate and analyze a wide variety of information, often working under deadline pressure.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions and Additional Requirements (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel):
Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.
Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.
May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule.
