Caterpillar is seeking a Lean Operations Training Manager in Athens, GA. Reporting to the Lean Deployment Manager, you will lead a team of 8 direct reports in training new hires as well as continuous improvement training focused on lean manufacturing.

What you can look forward to in this role:

  • Talent Management: Knowledge of human resources and talent management processes; ability to lead, motivate, evaluate, and reward employees at the workplace
  • Continuous Improvement Coach: Lead, coach, teach and develop others to use the tools and methodologies of Lean to drive sustained Continuous Improvement.
  • Problem Solving : Evaluate existing curriculum and recommend appropriate approaches for improving the quality, velocity, and cost of development programs
  • Lean Experience: Plan and execute Lean process transformations projects utilizing Lean project management methodologies
A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:
  • Lean Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Top Candidates for this position may also have:
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in a business or technical curriculum that includes a Lean focus or 10 years of progressive leadership experience
  • Lean related work experience or internship
  • A 6 Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt (through training)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
