Job Title: Program Manager - Tribal Construction Projects
Location: Oklahoma and Arizona
Travel: Required, approximately twice per month
Position Summary (Salary Range $120K - 150K BOE):
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee and manage our tribal CM/GC projects in Oklahoma and Arizona. This role will require a dedicated leader knowledgeable about implementing alternative delivery methods, a background in construction project management and a deep commitment to fostering relationships with the contractor, designers, and the tribes. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of project management experience in the civil infrastructure industry, a solid understanding of compliance and cultural sensitivity in tribal projects, and the ability to schedule complex project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight: Plan, initiate, and oversee all phases of assigned tribal construction projects, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with tribal representatives, local authorities, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain transparent and effective communication.
Budget and Resource Allocation: Manage project budgets, forecasts, and resources to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Compliance and Quality Control: Ensure projects adhere to industry standards, legal requirements, and tribal regulations, and implement quality control procedures throughout project lifecycles.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks that could impact project outcomes.
Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular project updates, reports, and documentation to stakeholders and leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required if equivalent experience is demonstrated).
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the construction industry, with preference for candidates with tribal or public sector project experience.
Proficiency with scheduling software (Primavera P6 preferred, but Microsoft Project is acceptable).
Proven track record in managing construction projects from planning through to successful completion.
Strong understanding of project management principles, risk assessment, budgeting, and resource management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
Ability to adapt to evolving project needs and work environments.
Ability to travel at least once per month to various project sites.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of federal and tribal contracting regulations and compliance requirements.
Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Construction Management (e.g., CCM).
Familiarity with scheduling software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
Experience developing risk registers and facilitating risk workshops.
