We are looking for a Procurement Leader who will drive the integration of non-centralized procurement areas into a centralized operating model. The focus will be on key categories such as Indirect Services, Human Resources, Information Technology, Premiums, and Research & Development, areas that were previously managed by functional groups without direct procurement involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy Development:
Lead efforts to bring non-centralized procurement areas into the centralized procurement framework.
Work closely with VP-level stakeholders and consultants to develop strategies for multiple spend categories (ranging from $600M to $1B).
Ensure internal alignment and collaboration on future category management.
Collaboration & Alignment:
Partner with external consultants and senior leaders from internal teams to define and implement procurement strategies.
Engage in cost-saving projects and foster strong working relationships.
Negotiation & Contract Management:
Take the lead in negotiating complex contracts with key suppliers.
Procurement Strategy & Framework:
Develop and implement frameworks for new procurement areas under the centralized model.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field like Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or another related area.
Experience & Skills:
Minimum of 10 years in Procurement or Supply Chain, with experience leading improvements in category management.
Strong skills in Complex Contract Negotiation, Stakeholder Engagement, Change Management, and Project Management.
Proven ability to influence without authority, build trust quickly, and work independently while managing cross-functional teams.
Leadership & Problem-Solving:
Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills with high resiliency and the ability to make quick, effective decisions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
