The Born Brand Group, headquartered in Greenwich CT, manufactures and markets trend comfort footwear under the brand names Born, Kork-Ease, B.O.C. and Korks. Must have extensive Footwear Industry Experience to be considered. (No Exceptions)
Responsibilities:
Work with design team to execute creative direction for the Footwear Collection within the Born group of brands.
Managing the development for 1-2 of our brands under the guidance of senior executives.
Collaborate on trend, color, and materials to achieve vision and objectives
Assist and contribute ideas for product design, construction, materials, compounds and components to enhance functionality, aesthetics, and fit
Direct sketch artists to execute all new upper silhouette development on both new and continuing constructions
Organize and manage the writing and submitting of sample specs for seasonal development
Critique, adjust and evaluate technical blueprints, upper patterns and materials from a manufacturing and functional perspective
Execute the development of new outsoles for the season including construction, compound, fit and upper patterns
Manage development process and timeline milestones and communicate with team to guarantee correct design execution for the brand
Participate in product merchandising through all phases of design process
Confirm final production confirmation samples
Assist on production quality issues when necessary

Experience in project management with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Understanding of how to research market trends and apply to footwear collection
Strong communication skills with experience communicating product details to non-English speakers both written and verbally
Qualifications:
3-8 years of footwear development as well as a strong design background
Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design, Footwear Design or other design-related field
