We are seeking an English/Spanish-speaking neuro-technician to administer neurofeedback treatments and cognitive rehabilitation for a busy neurology clinic, focusing on TBI/concussions. A friendly and supportive work environment. No prior experience necessary. Complete training is offered to the right candidate. The ideal candidate is passionate about working in a medical environment, fostering therapeutic communication with the patients, and encouraging patients during their neurofeedback training to support in their healing process with other medical staff.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in science (such as biology, chemistry, neuroscience, physiology, and/or psychology).
Sports trainers are also welcome to apply.
Job Duties:
Will place electrodes on top of the patient's head using neuro-conductive gel to train the appropriate brainwaves.
Will enter the data into the computer to start neurofeedback training.
Will make sure the electrodes are properly placed to gather appropriate brainwave signals.
Will run neurofeedback protocols, as provided by the doctor.
Will coach and encourage patients during their neurofeedback training.
Will implement therapeutic breathing exercises when necessary during the neurofeedback training for relaxation strategies.
Will complete progress notes after the training sessions.
Will enter information into the computer for cognitive rehabilitation.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, and some as needed Saturdays and after hours may be required.
