Our Custom Aerospace Equipment client is seeking a Senior Buyer with 5+ years of experience in custom equipment manufacturing or metal fabrication to join their on-site team in Southampton, PA.
As a Sr. Buyer, you'll be joining a small procurement team, purchasing a diverse range of goods and services, from machined parts and custom-fabricated sheet metal to raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies. Your key responsibilities will include identifying new vendors, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely supply deliveries.
For success in this role, you should be familiar with custom equipment or metal manufacturing processes and have the ability to read fabrication drawings, contract documents, and technical specifications for accurate purchasing decisions. This position would also be ideal for a go-getter who's comfortable collaborating with project managers, engineers, sales, and leadership teams to understand their purchasing needs.

Responsibilities of this position include:
Managing the procurement of diverse goods and services, ranging from machined parts and custom fabricated sheet metal to raw materials, equipment, tools, parts and supplies
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, sales, and leadership teams to understand purchasing needs.
Identify new vendors & negotiate pricing.
Ensure timely delivery of supplies and provide accurate timelines updates.
Prepare and maintenance of purchase orders & records (purchased costs, delivery, quality/performance)
Establish and maintain strong ongoing vendor relationships
Read and interpret fabrication drawings, contract documents, and technical specifications for accurate purchasing decisions
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
5+ years of purchasing experience in custom equipment manufacturing or metal fabrication.
Must have experience purchasing raw materials, sheet metal, machined parts, office supplies and more.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints & technical specs
Proven ability to work collaboratively and independently in a dynamic environment.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Salary: $100,000-$115,000

Hours: 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday
