They are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join their Fuel Department and support our tactical procurement operations.

Job Summary: The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the procurement of fuel and related products, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. This role involves tactical procurement activities, including supplier management, contract negotiation, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with fuel suppliers to ensure reliable supply and competitive pricing.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor fuel inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels, preventing shortages or overstock situations.
  • Purchase Orders: Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and potential supply chain disruptions.
  • Cost Management: Implement cost-saving strategies and initiatives to optimize procurement expenses without compromising quality.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Reporting: Generate and maintain procurement reports, including purchase order status, supplier performance, and cost analysis.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless procurement processes and support overall business objectives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the fuel or energy sector.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
