Our mission is to empower both surrogates and intended parents from exploration to birth, providing personalized matching, unparalleled support, and proactive advocacy for everyone involved in the process.Were seeking an entrepreneurial and innovative Head of Marketing to join us as our founding marketing team member, owning Nascencys full-funnel business growth and scaling our two-sided marketplace for surrogacy solutions. You will play a pivotal role in building and executing strategies to attract and retain both prospective surrogates and intended parents, ensuring a seamless and compassionate journey for all members.As an early hire in a rapidly growing startup, this is a high-impact role with the opportunity to shape the companys growth trajectory and marketing team. This role requires someone who is both a visionary strategist and a hands-on executor, capable of thinking big while rolling up their sleeves to bring plans to life.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Vision & Execution:Develop and own the companys marketing strategy, setting a clear vision for growth and brand development.Translate high-level strategies into actionable plans, campaigns, and initiatives that deliver measurable results.Balance long-term brand-building efforts with short-term performance-driven tactics.Growth & Acquisition:Design and execute marketing strategies to drive awareness, acquisition, and engagement across both sides of the marketplace.Develop targeted paid and organic campaigns to recruit highly qualified surrogates eager to help families growSpearhead comprehensive B2B clinic marketing strategies to drive strategic partnerships for high-intended intended parent referrals.Lifecycle Marketing:Optimize client journeys by crafting personalized communications and improving touchpoints to drive retention and satisfaction.Create lifecycle marketing plans for onboarding, education, and engagement tailored to each audience segment.Budget Ownership:Manage and allocate marketing budgets efficiently to achieve growth objectives while maintaining CAC and revenue goals.Team Building & Leadership:Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of marketing professionals and freelancers.Foster a collaborative and creative culture focused on data-driven decision-making, human-first. empathetic leadership, and self-sustaining project ownership.Cross-team Collaboration:Partner with the Operations team to refine and enhance member experiences based on feedback and analytics.Implement processes to ensure a seamless, empathetic user journey.Member Advocacy & Storytelling:Collect, curate, and amplify member testimonials to humanize the brand and build trust.Collaborate with content and creative teams to tell impactful stories that resonate with our audiences.Data-Driven Decision Making:Analyze and report on key performance metrics (e.g., CAC, LTV, engagement rates) to continuously improve marketing strategies.Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and audience needs.Brand Building:Shape and communicate the companys unique value proposition, ensuring brand consistency and a compassionate tone in all materials.QualificationsExperience:8+ years of marketing experience with a focus on growth, lifecycle marketing, and customer acquisition at early stage startups. Experience with womens and family health and/or two-sided marketplaces is a plus.Strategic Visionary & Hands-On Executor:Ability to create and communicate a big-picture marketing vision while independently executing tasks, campaigns, and projects.Proven capacity to manage strategy and execution simultaneously in a resource-constrained startup environment.Leadership:Experience hiring, managing, and scaling marketing teams.Strategic Thinking:Ability to balance big-picture vision with detail-oriented execution.Technical Expertise:Proficiency in strategy and execution on paid performance channels (Meta, Google, etc)Familiarity with SEO, content marketing, and performance marketing strategies.Empathy & Communication:Strong understanding of the needs of prospective surrogates and intended parents, with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively.Data-Driven Approach:Adept at analyzing marketing data and using insights to inform decisions.Entrepreneurial Spirit:Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.CompensationMixture of base compensation, bonus and opportunity for equity (as an important part of the leadership team) make up full compensation packageCompetitive benefits and 401(k) matching Why Join Us?Purpose-Driven Work: Be part of a mission to transform the surrogacy experience and make parenthood accessible to more families.
