SUMMARY:
The Manager, Field Sales Analytics designs, modifies and maintains analytical sales data, and configuration deliverables to help achieve business growth, expanded market offerings and improved product flow accuracy.
JOB DUTIES
Works closely and proactively with senior leadership to understand overall group goals and objectives.
Supports other departments by identifying issues, delivering recommendations, and implementing solutions.
Develops strategies that support operational and product changes and provides continuous improvements.
Improves communication processes regarding distribution of information, identification of trends and variations beyond established limits.
Assists in the oversight of the costing/coding system.
Documents processes and procedures.
Conducts cross-department meetings to gather, document, and ensure accurate data is used for pricing, forecasting and product configurator.
Analyzes and develops product configuration standards, processes, procedures, and strategies.
Creates and maintains product configuration algorithms, rules, conditions, and general logic to support current and future product lines.
Works with business development, operations and accounting to develop and maintain correct product configurator inputs and outputs regarding routings, bill of materials (BOM), pick lists, build instructions, options, pricing and costing formulas.
Improves the configurator for enhanced sales/customer service and operations user experiences.
Works closely with sales and product groups to refine, enhance and maximize pricing strategies.
Identifies and leads cross-functional projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of pricing process that covers multiple business channels.
Serves as a subject matter expert on all pricing, analysis, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) related issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field and seven (7) years of related experience in data governance, product configuration, pricing, and data analysis or an equivalent combination.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Demonstrated skills in the analysis of a variety of complex variables with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
Ability to handle multiple data-intensive projects simultaneously and to deal with changing priorities.
Must be able to explain complex functions in simple and understandable language. • Reasoning skills including troubleshooting logic flows, drive to produce accurate outputs and excellent written and verbal communications skills. • Problem solving, project management, data mining and configuration knowledge. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other emerging data analysis tools.
