Aurex Group is working with a global commodity trading firm seeking a Senior Oil Operator/Scheduler to join their Houston team.
There is flexibility in the hire, so a waterborne crude, products, or bulk commodities operations background can be considered.
Overview:
Broad scope of responsibilities related to marine operations, logistics, and scheduling
Commercial role in support the trading desk and sit within the Operations teams.
Coordinating and assisting with logistics and operations
Provide relevant market information to the trading desk as well as helping with analysis, as requested
Manage post-deal processes & procedures
Liaising and management of daily activities from origin to destination, including coordinating amongst various clients and counterparties, including terminal operators, engineers, field personnel, customers, trading, and logistics
Qualifications:
5-10 years of experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience
Experience within a commodity trading firm required
Strong communication skills.
High level of customer service, stakeholder management, and drive.
Adaptable and able to thrive in a deadline-driven business.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
