Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Data Analyst to advance their data automation and AI initiatives, with plans to integrate Microsoft's Co-Pilot in 2025. This role requires expertise in SQL, Python, Power BI, and data automation, with strong experience in handling large datasets and data manipulation. The Senior Data Analyst will work closely with senior leadership to deliver impactful insights, optimize reporting processes, and prepare the groundwork for future AI and machine learning implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
Automation & Optimization: Streamline and automate data reporting, including converting manual data files to daily automated refreshes.
Leadership Engagement: Provide data-driven insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Dashboards & Reporting: Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, focusing on time-based analysis and customer behavior metrics.
Data Manipulation: Use Python for data cleansing, ETL processes, and automation to enhance reporting capabilities.
AI & Machine Learning Preparation: Lay the foundation for future AI functionalities, including chatbots and Co-Pilot, and explore machine learning applications to elevate analytics capabilities.
Systems Development: Design and implement new data systems while being open to new tools and technologies.
Data Extraction & Transformation: Use SQL for ETL tasks from various data sources to the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with various teams to ensure data quality and uphold reporting standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a data analyst role, with a focus on automation, big data, and preparing for AI and machine learning advancements.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX functions, table relationships, and data types.
Strong SQL skills for ETL tasks and data extraction.
Proficiency in Python (e.g., Anaconda, Matplotlib, Pandas) for data manipulation, automation, and visualization.
Knowledge of Power Automate for workflow automation.
Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts, with readiness to implement these in future projects.
Analytical Skills: Strong abilities in data manipulation, analysis, and delivering insights, especially for time-based analysis and customer behaviors.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting insights to senior leadership.
Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and willingness to adopt new systems and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry experience in distributed energy, solar, or retail power.
Experience with machine learning applications to support data-driven decision-making.
