Ntrepid is a product company delivering a variety of powerful solutions to government customers. We are looking for a product owner to join our team and work closely with product managers and engineers to maximize the value of our software through prioritization of the backlog.
As a product owner, you will serve as the liaison between the product vision and software implementation/development. Knowledge of the Agile methodology and Scrum ceremonies is a must. You should be detail-oriented, organized, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. You will communicate on development progress, milestones, and deliverables across the organization. Your team will depend on you to articulate users' behaviors, needs, and motivations.

Responsibilities
Work in an agile environment to plan product releases that balance customer needs and business goals.
Work alongside tech lead in the planning, execution, and review of each sprint, identifying opportunities and risks.
Work with product manager to understand and validate customer needs; contribute to product roadmap.
Translate needs into user stories, define their acceptance criteria, and verify when they are met.
Be the expert of customer workflows and needs, acting as the voice of our customers for team questions.
Ensure transparency into the development progress and relay milestones and deliverables to stakeholders.
Gather needs and feedback from many sources and decide what will best deliver value to customers, including decisions on what not to build.
Manage, refine, and prioritize the backlog of needs to drive business value based on product roadmap and strategy.
Collaborate with departments across the organization to get buy in on the priority order of the product backlog.
Work closely with your development team to ensure they understand problems to be solved, expected outcomes, and business context.
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship required.
2+ years of experience in product owner role.
Demonstrated experience and understanding of Agile Scrum methodology.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, motivate, and build alignment with teams across different functions in the organization.
Proactive, self-starter with excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Product owner or scrum master certification.
Experience working with Atlassian tools.
Experience in a product owner role in an enterprise software company.
