Job description

Reporting to the Head of MRO Purchasing, the MRO Purchasing Technician / Storekeeper will mainly be responsible for purchasing goods and services, receiving them and following up on orders by working as a team with colleagues and various departments. Main responsibilities
  • Purchase goods and services as required for farm operations
  • Contribute to the team management of more than 250 suppliers and 30,000 order lines
  • Receive and analyze submissions
  • Track orders, and follow the schedules of each delivery
  • Track supplier performance evaluation
  • Receive, unpack, label and sort incoming parts, supplies, and materials including local pickups and follow up with internal and external stakeholders
  • Data review & extraction
  • Management of confirmations and modification of order prices and participate in the improvement of the order processing process
  • Billing management
  • Maintain the maintenance shop; manage the inventory and organize parts according to the established parameters
  • Preparation of work orders and requisitions for the maintenance and engineering team
  • Act as support and alternate for the Vegpro International Inc. (Florida, Quebec & BC) MRO purchasing Team
  • All other related tasks related to the purchasing and store team.
  • Assists in building a safety culture by following with health, safety and environmental standards including ergonomics, safe operating procedures, good housekeeping practices, WHMIS, and the observance of PPE requirements

Skills and abilities
  • College diploma in logistics and procurement or any other equivalent training
  • Supply Chain knowledge in industrial or agricultural mechanics
  • Experience in managing inventory
  • Flueny
  • English and Spanish, both oral and written and reading
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness, judgment, curiosity and priority management.
  • Intermediate skills in ERP systems and asset management and Microsoft 365
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changes
