One of our Global Aerospace Partners is looking for an experienced Windows Platform Administrator to join their Enterprise Application Services (EAS) team while in the process of a tech refresh, upgrading applications from end-of-life servers to the latest operating systems and migrating all applications to on-premises private cloud or XetaCloud platforms. To support these transformation projects, the Admin will manage a platform and its infrastructure components to run data discoveries across the datacenters. This person will partner heavily with various Enterprise Infrastructure teams in planning, setting up, and managing connectivity rules while ensuring security, and overseeing privileged accounts within the platform. With executive leadership driving this multi-year effort, this is an excellent opportunity for someone results-driven looking for a long-term role to grow alongside a dynamic team as they transform and modernize their ecosystem. Requirements:
5+ years of platform administration experience managing and supporting large enterprise Windows Server environments
3+ years of experience supporting windows platforms in cloud environments like AWS and Azure
Familiarity with endpoint protection tools, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems
Able to work with databases, including setting up and configuring database systems and managing user access and permissions
Comfortable working with Excel for reporting
Preferred Skills:
Linux systems administration experience
Responsibilities:
End-to-end system administration of Windows based platform - user management, installs, patching, security, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, etc.
Building reports out in excel from application discovery
Manage and improve MySQL and MongoDB databases, ensuring they run efficiently and have reliable backup and recovery processes in place
Collaborate with infrastructure teams to efficiently troubleshoot current and mitigate future network-related issues (firewall, load balancing, data center etc.)
Able to have confident discussions around AWS and Azure cloud services and navigate cloud portal interfaces
