Holland Aquatic Center (HAC) is seeking relationship and community focused individual to serve a the Membership and Development Director. This new organizational role will work directly with the Senior Level Management team and Executive Director to focus on membership growth and revenue growth strategies. Salary will be commensurate with experience, skills and qualifications for this unique role.

Primary Responsibilities: The Membership and Development Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of HAC's membership program, including recruiting new members, retaining existing ones, managing member data, developing engagement strategies, and ensuring a positive guest experience by coordinating communication, events, and benefits, all while working towards achieving membership and daily visit growth and revenue goals. • Membership and daily guest acquisition and retention: Develops and initiates strategies that support the growth and retention of HAC memberships, Medicare program memberships/ participation in programming, and increased daily visitors • Membership operations: Overseeing daily guest and membership operations, including sign-up and processing new and renewal memberships, billing support, achievement of accurate records and payments • Staff management: Recruiting, hiring, coaching, disciplining, managing and developing the guest services team members • Member and guest communication: Planning and managing communication to members, including responding to inquiries and providing updates on member services and benefits • Membership and daily guest reporting: Preparing and analyzing membership and visit reports and industry data, and reporting on metrics around member and visit income • Member feedback: Monitoring membership feedback, comments, and suggestions to ensure continuous improvement • Membership policies: Serving as the subject matter expert on membership policies and functions • Membership donation and scholarship support: Serve as the staff leadership for HAC Foundation activities that develop scholarship funding • Identify facility needs and assist staff and guests in all areas of the facility, as needed.
Essential Qualifications: • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Proven ability to build relationships and project a positive attitude, manner, and appearance. • Experience with customer databases, spreadsheets, project management software, and web applications. • Excellent team leadership, customer service, and communication skills. • A minimum of 7 years' experience in a leadership role. • Demonstrated aptitude toward technology, including computers, software systems, A/V, and other technical equipment. • Ability to demonstrate mature judgment and reliable and ethical behavior. • Organizational skills and ability to organize and manage several tasks simultaneously. • Demonstrated ability to work well with others. • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, communications, or related field. • CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to achieve certification within 60 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience in membership management and fund development for a non-profit organization • MBA • Experience with facility and membership management software • Successful experience in a leadership position • Bilingual in Spanish
