Position Overview: The Incoming Materials Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of incoming materials that support development and manufacturing operations. This position requires the ability to adapt to changing priorities while inspecting incoming and in-process sub-assemblies according to quality documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform functional testing of devices related to lot qualification and conduct package integrity testing of devices as required by procedures.
Execute mechanical inspections of incoming components and materials.
Maintain and file inspection records and reports accurately, and input data into the Insulet computer system efficiently.
Assist Quality Engineers in developing test methods, conducting device investigations, and performing internal quality audits as necessary.
Monitor calibration contractors while they test equipment at Insulet.
Apply basic shop math as required for inspections and ensure familiarity with FDA and ISO inspection documentation and standards.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanical inspector in the medical device industry.
Proficient in PC skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
