Job Description:

The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the functionality of the premises, maintaining and maintaining and repairing forklifts, and other warehouse equipment. Perform repairs to building, HVAC installations, landscaping, etc. Manage and repairs to other owned facilities as needed. The Facilities Manager will oversee other maintenance individuals as well as the janitorial team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • 1. Schedule routine preventative maintenance of product-moving equipment, facility doors, air conditioning units, filters, refrigerant levels, airducts, painting, etc.
  • 2. Experience managing maintenance projects from bidding projects, evaluating quotes, monitoring progress, and validating solutions.
  • 3. Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
  • 4. Basic electrical, repair circuit breaker panels, replacing light switches and bulbs, etc.
  • 5. Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
  • 6. Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection and schedule repairs as needed.
  • 7. Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide.
  • 8. Manage a team of maintenance and janitorial staff.
  • 9. Complete seasonal tasks or recurring annual tasks promptly and before any weather or recurring business-related issues impede operations. 10. Aide in special event set-up on the facilities which could include company parties, vendor visits, customer visits, and exhibits.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 1. High school diploma or equivalent; certified in HVAC, building maintenance or relevant field experience is preferred.
  • 2. People management experience.
  • 3. Working knowledge of tools, electric tools, common appliances and devices, electrical, hydraulic and other systems.
  • 4. Project management skills and working with service providers.
  • 5. Ability to speak English fluently is required and ability to speak Spanish as well is preferred.
  • 6. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs and over 50lbs with assistance.
  • 7. Ability to lift and carry waist, shoulder, and overhead high.
  • 8. Ability to work in a cold and hot environment.
  • 9. Ability to be flexible with early schedule and holidays schedule.
  • 10. Ability to walk, stand, and sit for the duration of the work shift.
  • 11. Able to use an electric hand pallet jack, standup pallet jack, and forklift.
