Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Training Instructor in Richmond, Virginia. The Training Instructor is responsible for creating, organizing, conducting and evaluating technical training courses and projects related to rental equipment for employees and customers. Seeking candidate with a minimum five years allied equipment experience. Experience presenting material in an engaging manner preferred but training will be provided.

Requirements for the Training Instructor position include:

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to design and implement effective training and development.
• Must be able to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
• Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
• Must be willing to travel with overnight travel required.

Physical requirements must be met for the Training Instructor job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight.
