What You Will Achieve

 

In this role, you'll work to s pecif y , design, install, validate, maintain and calibrate large-scale, critical (zero downtime), manufacturing computer information systems to improve manufacturing success rates. You will i ntegrate manufacturing/process operational knowledge, equipment control and data into (large) systems, which enforces the sequence of operations across departments related to batch production, testing, subsequent performance tracking and drug substance disposition.

 

As part of the Technical Operations team, you are recognized as a subject matter expert with specialized knowledge and skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and equipment. You will be entrusted with adapting standard methods and procedures by applying your knowledge, prior work experience and requirements. Your business awareness of cross-organizational impact on project delivery will elevate the quality of project deliverables. You will make decision about the methods and procedures that are the best fit for different work situations. You will train others and reinforce behaviors that will help us achieve our goal of providing the best healthcare to our patients.

How You Will Achieve It

 

  • Manage projects related to maintenance/calibration equipment improvements
  • Performing corrective maintenance activities on equipment in support of continuous operation of the Sanford facility, including manufacturing, utilities, and quality control equipment/systems
  • Troubleshooting and repair of Electrical, Mechanical, Automation equipment and systems at the highest level
  • Performing preventative and predictive maintenance on GMP equipment
  • Project lead for critical issues that impact operations of GMP equipment
  • Provide training for junior level Technicians as needed Position may require specialized skills and knowledge such as welding, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, pipe fitting,
  • Perform duties in a safe manner with a focus on Zero Injuries and follow all SOP, cGMP requirements and external regulatory protocols
  • Candidate will provide direction and coordination to other maintenance technicians in the absence of management (24/7 shift work - off hours)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a timely manner utilizing DMAIC techniques when necessary.
  • Support engineering projects to select and install appropriate equipment (Including Factory Acceptance Tests - FAT)
  • Lead to completion and/or participate in continuous improvement activities (Drive change to a positive outcome - OWN IT)
  • Perform predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance activities for GMP equipment
  • Perform people leader activities as a back-up to management when needed
  • Provide investigation support at a high level
  • Communicate well with everyone - Top down... with a professional attitude and mindset
  • Demonstrate the ability to make critical decisions with precision and decisiveness

 

Qualifications

 

Must-Have

 

  • High School Diploma or GED and 6+ years of experience .
  • Certification in assigned area if applicable .
  • S trong communication and organizational skills .

 

Nice-to-Have

 

  • Strong evidence of problem-solving skills.
  • S trong knowledge in Automation: preferred Siemens, Foxboro (Schneider), iFix , Wonderware, PCE (serialization), network, Virtualization (VMWare)

 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Position requirements are typical for a manufacturing plant-based work environment with significant shop floor exposure. Routine lifting, sitting, standing, walking and bending is required. Specific PPE requirements, including clean room gowning, is frequently required.

 

There are no unusual mental requirements for this position.

 

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

 

Schedule is a mixture of day shift (M-F, 8 hrs.) and rotating 12-hour shifts that include night and weekend work. Alternative work schedules may be required to support specific project-related activities.

The salary for this position ranges from $30.77 to $51.28 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company's policies.
